Be a Part of ADAPT TX

ADAPT Texas is more than its design teams; we offer plenty of ways to get involved. We host workshops, toy adapting volunteer days, lab tours, guest speakers, socials, and community outreach events so members can participate in ways that fit their interests and schedule. Whether you are building with a team or just joining for an event, there is a place for you here.

Our Programs

Monthly Meetings

Drop in to our monthly meetings to catch project updates, hear about upcoming events, and meet fellow members and officers. It is a friendly space to ask questions, share ideas, and find ways to get involved at your own pace.

Toy Adapting Workshop

Every December ADAPT Texas runs a Toy Adapting Workshop where students learn basic circuitry and accessibility design by converting popular toys to switch access.

The completed toys go to children served by the NAPA Rehabilitation Center. The workshop blends technical skill building, community impact, and a welcoming space for new members to get hands on.

Technical Workshops

Sharpen your technical skills with workshops in CAD, soldering, Arduino, basic circuits, and 3D printing.

These beginner friendly, hands on sessions are open to all levels and focus on applying what you learn to real ADAPT projects. Come as you are and leave with practical skills you can use right away.

Socials

As a thank-you for the time and effort you put into ADAPT, we host monthly socials where you can unwind and just have fun.

Expect low-pressure hangouts like game nights, picnics, movie meetups, and study breaks open to all members. These gatherings help you connect across teams and recharge between projects.
